I might have to add the Reaper's Edge to my already-huge mouse collection If I do, I'll review both Reaper's Edge and Death Adder side-by-side.

Be careful of ANYTHING from Razer. It will work wonderfully for awhile then just crap out. EVERYTHING I have bought from those noobs has done that. Keyboard, mice, and headphones. I might just be unlucky but they will never receive another dime from me.

I've owned almost every razer mouse ever created (including the original Boomslang), and the only problem I ever had was a Diamondback's USB cable internally severing due to excessive folding by their packaged carrying case (the inner metal wire broke, but the outer insulation was fine). Razer promptly replaced it under warranty.

i love my death adder. but really anything with a cord and buttons that dont stick should work alright. wireless mouses are slow and the batteries really get expensive.

Well, the Reaper Edge arrived today, and it's been pretty impressive so far. It's a tad bigger than the Logitech G9:
...an a lot more comfortable. Its optics are free of that HGL-movement-lag I mentioned in my last review post on the Death Adder. Although this 3200-DPI mouse only has one DPI-adjuster button, the design works perfectly fine. The Reaper Edge's top is covered with a smooth carbon-fiber surface and clear-coated, so this should stand up to general wear and abuse. My Logi-G9's gray matte finish is already showing shiny spots where my fingers make contact with the mouse buttons.
Although the Reaper's Edge has no adjustable weights, I tend to prefer lighter mice config's for quick movement. The unusual side thumb buttons' placement is a little quirky, but I've quickly adapted to their positions.
Overall, the Reaper Edge is one of the best mice I've used to date -- Very comfortable, intelligently designed, quick/agile, etc., all while still looking damn good.

Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse v1.0a FTW!
honestly, pretty much any optical mouse will do fine for gw, it's more about keypressing than mousing. I've done decent in AB and PvE using my laptop's touchpad lol

True, but the OP didn't say that he needed a mouse for just GW... he simply said "gaming," which covers a lot more than just GW. Coming from a competition-level quake background, I can honestly say that the mouse makes a HUGE difference for gaming, especially FPS.
